KAREN ZUK ROSENBLATT is the chosen artist being featured on ISAW (Imaginatively Superior Artworks). Karen loves cats, like a lot of cat lovers out there, but her artwork reflects the 'personality' that some cats have which can be very humorous to watch as humans.
Karen has agreed to having a short interview discussion for the purpose of understanding just a little more about her, views of her own work and the thoughts behind some of her creations.

One of Karen "Zuk" Rosenblatt's oil paintings was requested by the National Wildlife Refuge to be placed on permanent display. The painting depicts a controversial Alligator hunt that recently took place at a Wildlife Refuge. It expresses her view that a refuge is not a place where hunting should be allowed.

USFWS Southeast Region Newsletter published an article with her painting "Refuge?". Karen, and others who protested the hunt, maintained that “hunting should not be allowed in a protected area for enjoying nature and wildlife.”

Artist Karen "Zuk" Rosenblatt had four paintings juried into "The Cat-O-Strophic Affair" at the CGMS Gallery in Lake Worth. The event is a Fund-Raiser for Animal Shelters throughout Palm Beach County
The show is on view October 4 through October 15 and features some of Palm Beach County's finest animal and wild-life artists in an exhibit about CATS. The gallery will donate 10% of the sales to any shelter whose customers or patrons have bought a work of art. The paintings she had juried in are "Mirror Mirror On the Wall", "Dragonfly and Cat", "Perrier Jouet et le Chat" and "Siam I Am".
Opening Reception is Saturday night, Ocitober 4 from 6 - 10 pm.
